In partnership with the Department of Nanoengineering at the University of California, the Sobol Family has established a memorial fund to honor Stephen Paul Sobol, who passed away on December 23, 2016. Stephen was a highly admired and respected professional within the environmental safety and engineering fields. In addition to working for the Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), Stephen also started his own company, ESH Sciences Inc, where he provided consulting services in the fields of environmental, safety and health sciences for clients that included various US Military branches and the Environmental Protection Agency. Throughout his career, Stephen garnered over 30 years experience and shared his knowledge through his mentoring abilities. A description of his life and accomplishments may be found by clicking here. To help honor his memory, Stephen’s family donated to the Department of Nanoengineering a large number of nanotechnology related internet domain names that were formerly owned by ESH Sciences to further research in the fields of nanotechnology and environmental health safety.
