Members of the Jokerst Bioimaging Lab recently raised money to buy oxygen concentrators for the COVID-19 crisis in India. The trainees collected $750 that was then matched by another $750 from Dr. Jokerst. This was enough to buy three portable oxygen units in tandem with the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin. "This is a great example of the lab's commitment to human health", said Dr. Jesse Jokerst. "Not only are these trainees developing new ways of diagnosing and monitoring the SARS-CoV-2 virus, but they are also practically very generous and aware of the realities of the pandemic both in San Diego and abroad."
