Postdoctoral Position in Computational Biophysics
A postdoctoral position is available immediately in multiscale modeling and simulation of gene regulatory systems. The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in chemical engineering, computational biochemistry/biophysics, or related fields, and experience in statistical mechanics, molecular simulations, and Fortran/C programming.
Possible projects include but are not limited to chromatin structure regulation via histone modifications, tertiary structure prediction and folding pathways of RNAs, and transport of gene-regulatory proteins within DNA networks. Most projects in the group involve close interaction with experimentalists, and the bioinformatics and theoretical biological physics centers at UCSD.
