X-rays Reveal Adding Salt Improves Perovskite Solar Cells

NanoEngineering professor, David Fenning, and his team of researchers have reported using x-rays to explain how adding salt improves the performance of perovskite solar cells. According to Fenning, perovskite solar cells can potentially reduce costs while maintaining their performance. The study was co-authored by David Fenning, also a researcher at the UC San Diego Sustainable Power and Energy Center, and Juan-Pablo Correa-Baena, assistant professor at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Research findings were published in an issue of Science.
