Temporary Tattoo in Clinical Trial for Glucose Monitoring

A temporary tattoo developed by UC San Diego researchers and led by Joseph Wang, Chair of the NanoEngineering Department, and Patrick Mercier, has been enrolled in a phase I clinical trial.  This "tattoo sensor" would provide type 1 or type 2 diabetics with a needle-less option for monitoring their glucose by measuring insulin levels through sweat on the skin.
