The American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE) announced the election of 55 new members of the College of Fellows. The newly elected Fellows were nominated and approved by current Fellows of the College, consisting of over 900 engineers and scientists.

Congratulations to Dr. Yimu Chen (Xu Research Group), who recently received his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering. His thesis defense on "Controllable Epitaxial Growth of Metal Halide Perovskites for Single-Crystal Devices" was presented on July 20, 2020.

The Department of NanoEngineering would like to congratulate Ms. Danica Venosa on being awarded Teaching Assistant of the Year! Ms. Venosa is recognized for her tremendous efforts in assisting the faculty and students during the 19-20 academic year. 

 

Congratulations to Chemical Engineering Ph.D. student, Qiaowan Chang (Sustainable Materials and Energy Laboratory), who was recently awarded the 2020-2021 Marye Anne Fox Endowed Fellowship. This is awarded to students with highly distinguished academic records.

Congratulations to Adrian Garcia Badaracco (Kummel Lab), who recently received his M.S. in Chemical Engineering. His thesis defense on "Indocyanine Green Modified Silica Shells for Colon Tumor Marking" was presented on June 5, 2020.

Congratulations to Dr. Yanqi Luo (Fenning Research Group), who recently received her Ph.D in NanoEngineering. Her defense on "Revealing Composition-Performance Relationships in Halide Perovskite Solar Cells by Correlative Microscopy" was presented on March 30, 2020. Dr.

Congratulations to our alumnus, Amay Bandokar, who took a Faculty position at North Carolina State University.  Dr. Bandokar graduated with a Ph.D. in NanoEngineering. We are proud of his accomplishment and wish him well in his new position!
